I believe that black and white portraits can communicate on a level that colour photos simply can't.
That’s why most of the portraits I take are black and white ones. I like their simplicity and the fact that the main focus lies on the subject’s expression or face . This way, the viewer’s attention is not distracted by anything else. In the picture posted here, I tried to capture a certain mood and I think I was lucky enough to click at the right moment when the little girl was looking elsewhere and appeared a bit concerned about something.
I think that her worried expression has an important play in the mood this picture conveys.
