Those of you who are visiting my gallery regularly know that I’m a big fan of old doors photography. Wherever I am travelling, be it a foreign country or a Romanian village, I have an eye for spotting an interesting door and window frame and I immediately take a picture of it.
As you might have probably noticed, this picture was taken in Greece, Corfu island. I think this door captures some of the architectural style of Greece: the white-washed houses. The Greeks usually paint their houses white as they keep them much cooler during the hot summers and I find this their distinctive house-style especially in the islands, like Santorini.
